What an incredible experience wrapping gifts for students at Mason CLC Elementary and adopted families throughout our community! đ
Weâre proud to support Mason CLCâs Akron Hope: Holidays of Hope, which wrapped more than 1,500 gifts this yearâtheir biggest event yet.
We were proud to provide the funding for the meals and then to help serve them for all of these great kids.
From the LBJ Assistant Club Director: "The kids absolutely loved the event; they all kept talking about how good the food was. It was really nice they were able to have a Thanksgiving styled meal before the holiday! As far as the volunteers, they were helpful and super sweet to our kids."
Tallmadge Builders at their conference booth, at the November 2025 Ohio State Board Association Conference. They were demonstrating how they interact with mentally challenged kids, using music to calm and focus. Here they were asking state wide board members and teachers to participate by listening to music and tapping with drum sticks.
Every year the Kiwanis Club of Akron hands out toothbrushes to children at the Akron Marathon Kids Fun Run. This years September 26th event was a fun time with kids flashing their pearly-whites.

We can put a nice description here
Our primary goal is to grow and maintain service leadership programs (Builders Clubs) for each public and private middle school in the Greater Akron area. A Builders Clubâthe largest service organization for middle school students ages 11 to 15âis designed to provide members with opportunities to perform service, build character, and develop leadership. The club is student led, operates under school regulations, and draws its members from the student body. When started at a young age, the service club experience prepares its members to become the most engaged members of their communitiesânow and in the future.
We know the transition from grade school to middle school can be tough for any adolescent boy or girl. Common challenges children face include dealing with social pressures, making new friends, communicating with teachers, confronting bullies, becoming a positive contributor, bouncing back from failure and disappointments, and learning about the world. With your help, our middle school-aged children will have access to programming and resources that will help them transition into confident young adults.
